WHO

STELLAR VBS at Templo de Oracion -
NLC's sister church in Traver

New Life Community joined in helping our sister church, Templo de Oracion in Traver, with their Vacation Bible School this week. We shared the VBS materials and supplies from last year, and they really took the ball and ran with it! They're also returning the favor!
Members from their church will come and help us when we offer our FOOD TRUCK VBS in July at NLC. They're sharing materials and supplies with us because that's the VBS program they ran last year. What a great way to share resources and support each other as we work side by side!
Pastor Juan Pacheco (who has been at Templo de Oracion for 34 years!) picks up and drops off children using tractor rides! It's a great magnet for kids from town who can't wait
to get a ride and come to VBS.
Eliza and Lizeth became friends on the Explorers group. There were four activity groups moving from crafts, to the Bible story, to snacks, and the imagination station. Throughout the activities children learned to know and follow Jesus as the Light of the World.

WHY, HOW

NLC's VISION
We envision ourselves as a diverse family of faith
continuously transformed by Jesus Christ
authentically loving God, each other, and our community.

NLC's VALUES
Relational and Responsive
Welcoming - Joyful - Hopeful - Prayerful - Reconciling

Which of these values have you exercised lately? Which have you experienced from others?
It's important to remember that we don't "go to church", we are the church. How we behave toward God and each one in this community reflects the life of Christ within us.
So be welcoming! Learn to know someone's name and take time over a meal to hear their story.
Be joyful in worship. Be hopeful through challenges, and always be praying about everything.
And when issues arise with another person, be reconciling, knowing Christ forgave you even when you were a sinner. We can't say we love God and not love each other as he has loved us.

In all these ways we express:
NLC's MISSION
Transforming Lives Through Jesus Chris

Thank you for your generous giving!
We're sending 22 kids to Hartland Camp!

In addition to the Envelope Wall, Carl's Jr. Fundraiser, and generous gifts,
another $426.95 was raised through the Funnel Cake Fundraiser last Sunday!
