connect to God through prayer

- Pray for Anissa Almaguer as she recovers from a c-section. We are thankful for the arrival of a healthy, 8 lb. baby girl! Pray for Neida Roa, who is also expecting and was put on bed rest.
- Pray for Noemi Gonzalez as she recovers from surgery at home.
- Also remember: Marilyn Chappell and other residents in Palm Village Healthcare, Harold Kruger and others in Sierra View, and Mary Salazar.
- Pray for those who have lost loved ones, including the family of Carolina Coralles, who passed away on July 21. A new GriefShare support group will begin in August.
- Pray for those who are seeking employment.
- Pray for the undocumented in our community as they navigate life under this administration.
- Pray for our missionaries: Pablo & Maricela Chavez in Peru, Cecil & Tracy Ramos in Thailand, Jonathan & Joanna Gutierrez in Portugal, and Johnny & Denise Esposito who are home on furlough.
- Pray for peace as violence and war affect so many families and children in Ukraine, Israel, Gaza, in the Middle East, and in parts of Africa.
Connect with Interns
Hi, my name is Bella. I am grateful I have had the opportunity to be an intern this summer again! My experience this summer has been full of love, friendships, and above all, I’ve been growing in my faith! It was an amazing summer with the other interns and getting the opportunity to work together in God's grace. One of my favorite memories has to be the week of SOAR. I felt God's presence in so many different places and saw God work in so many young people during the week. This summer has impacted me because I know God is working around the world, bringing his children together to follow him.
Hi, my name is Amelia, and during my internship, I found my passion for helping others deepening in ways I never expected. It has become clear to me that I want to utilize my spiritual gift of service and faith to make a positive impact, whether through volunteering here at church or simply sharing God's love in every opportunity that comes my way. I long for people to see the light of Jesus shining through me. This internship experience has truly been a blessing that I will cherish forever and has changed my point of view on life. Not only have I grown spiritually, become more of a leader, and gained a deeper understanding of God's plan for my life, but I’ve also formed incredible friendships with my fellow interns, Bella, Victor, and Dulce. I am eternally grateful for this opportunity God has blessed me with, and I want to thank everyone at church for entrusting me with this position. I cherished every moment of this internship, but my most treasured memory is SOAR. During that time, I felt overwhelming love and support from everyone around and a deep sense of God's presence by my side. It felt as if He was physically next to me the entire time! This feeling is something that I will remember for the rest of my life. I loved watching the youth embrace childlike faith and grow closer to the Lord in ways I've never witnessed them do before. Thank you once again for the unconditional support you have shown to all of us interns!
Hello, my name is Dulce. This internship has been nothing less than great. I have enjoyed working with my friends at the church and helping out Jessica. I know how hard she works, so it was a pleasure to help her. One highlight is SOAR because I was able to see how much SOAR impacts some of these children. Also, SOAR never fails to teach me something new because I was worried going into SOAR, but throughout the whole trip, I was able to notice that God was telling me to calm down. Especially because there was a reason why He did things. The week of SOAR was full of surprises, fun, and building stronger relationships with our children. SOAR is something that I would want more children to experience. Overall, this internship experience was amazing, and I would like to thank our NLC family for this experience and for the opportunity to make unforgettable memories.
Hi everyone, my name is Victor Gonzalez, and this has been my first year being an intern at New Life Community Church. The internship as a whole has been an amazing experience for me due to meeting new people and being able to build a good connection with them. One of my highlights is SOAR Fresno 2025, due to the fact that I had a fantastic time with the youth from our church as well as from other churches. I can say that SOAR impacted me the most since it allowed me to understand within myself that I can always be myself no matter what others think, so it’s good for me to get out of my comfort zone. It allowed me to also understand that I have the capability to speak in front of a group of people, and it’s not always as bad as I expect it to be. Overall, I want to give a HUGE Thank You to our NLC family for being able to not only support me but all the interns in this memorable experience!!
