What We Believe

"True evangelical faith...cannot lie dormant, but spreads itself out in all kinds of righteousness and fruits of love..."
- Menno Simons

New Life Community is a diverse family of faith,
continuously transformed through Jesus Christ,
authentically loving God, each other, and our community.

As a Mennonite Brethren church, we affirm the "Confession of Faith of the US Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches."

Core Beliefs

God

We believe in one true God eternally existing in three persons -
Father,  Son, and Holy Spirit.

God's Word

We believe the Bible is the true Word of God and
completely dependable as our guide for faithful Christian living.

Salvation

We believe our sin breaks relationship with God, and salvation (forgiveness) is experienced by sincere faith in God's grace
as displayed in Jesus Christ's death and resurrection.
Jesus alone is Savior.

Baptism

We believe individuals who make a personal confession of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord should be baptized and make a commitment
to a local group of believers.

Church Community

We believe the Church is comprised of believers who are called to worship together, love each other deeply, and hold one another accountable for a Christ-like walk of faith.

Witness

We believe God calls Christians to share the Good News of Jesus
with the world.

Peacemaking

We believe God wants us to be peacemakers and
agents of reconciliation in our families, churches, communities, nation, and throughout the world.
